We feel honoured to invite you to take part and discuss with the other leaders at the forefront of changes of your projects or initiatives for 2019-2020 and beyond. The program will focus on the development of high impact projects and common agendas for future development.
Moreover, the conference will focus on the issues considered as high priority for beneficiaries from Turkey such as lobbying, key success factors for project proposals, expected progress under the new EU legislature in 2019-2024, and largely Horizon Europe that will bring new approach as the World’s biggest research and innovation fund.
The main objective is supporting the leaders of innovations who are working at the forefront of development to build up their capacities and expand perspectives for successful initiation, preparation and application for projects under EU-Turkey umbrella.
With your presence and active role in the ecosystem, we shall maximize the usage, reach and impact of EU instruments to address the most relevant topics for EU and Turkey, including excellent science, societal challenges, security, biotechnology, health and well-being, ICT, and others which are Fast Track Innovation and SMEInstrument.
That is why you need to be join us.
Horizon 2020 and upcoming Horizon Europe represent the major opportunity to upgrade cooperation. Yet the implementation of research and innovation projects co-financed by the EU is subject to procedures, rules and obligations which are challenging for most beneficiaries in Turkey.
It is crucial that we encourage cross-sector and cross-cultural collaboration, introduce advanced project design and quality assurance methodologies and support synergy of the innovation initiatives, due to the increasing funds but decreasing trust in the structures for EU-Turkey collaboration, in order to gain momentum, raise confidence and advance quality of the results.
The EU – Turkey relations face severe challenges. The latest European Commission reports warned that Turkey seem to be moving away from the EU. On the other hand, the EU structures seem to have lost trust of the beneficiaries in Turkey and got to be perceived as one of the main causes for uncertain political, economic or security harmonization
Particularly for the EU-Turkey economic relationship, where trade, foreign direct investment, and technology transfers play important roles both ways, it is up to both sides to renew the search for realistic avenues for constructive cooperation.
After a long period of intensive work, it’s a pleasure for the entire team to invite you to the first conference gathering innovation leaders:
